According to the results of the general election, Sir Keir Starmer will succeed Rishi Sunak as prime minister after the Labour Party received a higher number of votes.

With a 403 majority for Labour and a 110 for the Conservatives, the 14-year Tory government came to an end.

Many people were not surprised by Sir Keir’s victory because early polls had shown that the Labour Party would probably win with a sizable majority.

“The change begins right here,” declared Sir Keir, congratulating the Labour Party on their victory. For this is your future, your neighborhood, and your democracy. You cast your ballot. It is now our responsibility to deliver.

Many issues have been raised in the wake of Sir Keir’s appointment as Prime Minister and the Labour Party’s victory, one of which is his net worth.

What is Sir Keir Starmer’s net worth?

Prolific London reports that Sir Keir’s net worth is approximately £7.7 million, but they also say that when “taking his other revenue streams into account and the land he has held since 1996,” it may increase to between £10 million and £15 million.

How did Sir Keir Starmer make his fortune?

During 2021–2022, Sir Keir’s income as an MP was £76,961, plus an additional £49,193 for leading the opposition.

He had previously held the well-known and lucrative positions of Director of Public Prosecutions and Chief of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 until 2013.

As a barrister, the newly appointed prime minister made almost £21,000 in legal fees starting in 2020–2021.

The Mail on Sunday revealed in May 2020 that Sir Keir purchased seven acres of land in Surrey in 1996 for a potential £10 million.

The North London house that the leader of the Labour Party and his wife, Victoria, purchased for £600,000 is reportedly worth over £1 million.
